Yogyakarta: Borobudur

After leaving Bandung, we hopped onto a train east towards Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Our scheduled arrival was 5pm and we left in the morning around 8am. We didn’t arrive to the Yogyakarta station until 9pm, due to a storm that hit the island leaving conductors cautious of landslides that were occurring in the area. Luckily, we made it and had our adventure start the next day.

Borobudur is one of those places that left me wondering during and after the visit. It’s a Buddahist temple that lies in the center of the woods made out of solid stone. With no actual written record of where it came from or whom created it. I was left thinking and let my imagination take over.
